Lucknow: Lucknow University (LU) has decided to allow postgraduate (PG) students to pursue an online PG course in some other subject simultaneously from the coming session.The decision, recently approved by the Academic Council, aims to provide greater flexibility and learning opportunities to students.The students will have to choose the subject from the online PG course offered by LU, such as MCom, MBA, MA in English, Economics, Political Science and Sanskrit, and Master of Social Work.These programmes are designed with the same syllabus structure as regular courses and carry equivalent academic recognition.The fee structure varies by course, with Rs 25,000 per semester for MBA and Rs 8,000 per semester for other PG courses such as MCom, MA and MSW, along with applicable examination fees.All study materials, including PDFs and video lectures, will be provided online. Students will also receive academic support from mentors, and their queries will be addressed digitally.LU spokesperson Mukul Srivastava said, “The university is also planning to seek UGC approval for expanding online UG and PG programmes in the near future.”
