Lucknow: The executive council (EC) of Lucknow University (LU) on Tuesday cleared guidelines for the equal opportunity cell and the community educational development cell.“Guidelines for the equal opportunity cell will ensure equal access for SC, ST, OBC, minority, women and people with disabilities through grievance redressal and a single window support systems,” said LU vice-chancellor, Prof JP Saini.He added that the framework for the community educational development cell will strengthen outreach in villages and urban slums through literacy and skill development programmes.The management also approved the proposal to start MBA course under the self-finance scheme with 75 seats. Besides, new teaching posts in the computer science department – two associate professor and thirteen assistant professors – were approved. The EC also okayed the academic calendar issued by the UP govt.
