Lucknow: The department of computer science at Lucknow University has announced the launch of eight new career-oriented academic programmes from the 2026-27 session on its main campus.These programmes are designed to align higher education with the rapidly evolving technological landscape and the emerging needs of industry, governance, research and the digital society, an official said.The programmes include four undergraduate BCA specialisations in artificial intelligence and machine learning, cyber security and cyber forensics, data science and data analytics and internet of things, each with 75 seats.At the postgraduate level, MSc programmes in AI and machine learning, data science, cyber security and cyber forensics will have 40 seats each. A postgraduate diploma in cyber security with 40 seats has also been introduced“Students can explore job roles such as AI developer, data analyst, cyber security specialist, IoT engineer and software developer. They can find opportunities in IT companies, startups, govt organisations, banking, healthcare and e-commerce sectors,” said head of computer science department, Puneet Misra.
