Lucknow: Lucknow University’s Institute of Women and Gender Studies will introduce women and gender studies courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels from the academic session 2026-27.The BA programme will be a four-year course with 80 seats and follow the entry and exit framework under NEP 2020. The MA programme will be of one year and will have 30 seats and be open to graduates from all disciplines, providing interdisciplinary learning in gender theory, policy and social research. The courses were recently approved by the Academic Council.“Career options include roles in NGOs, research organisations, international agencies, social policy units, media and academia,” said coordinator, Institute of Women and Gender Studies, Manini Srivastava.
