Raj Bawa moved quickly to his left and completed the catch with a dive, ending Shedge’s innings on 8 off 5 balls.The wicket was part of a collapse triggered by Shardul Thakur after Punjab Kings had made a strong start. Asked to bat first after four straight defeats, PBKS reached 200 for 8 in their allotted overs.Prabhsimran Singh led the innings with 57, while Priyansh Arya made 27 during a 50-run opening stand that came off 33 balls.Mumbai Indians had earlier dropped Prabhsimran, and the opener made the most of it by helping PBKS reach 55 for 1 in the powerplay. He removed Prabhsimran and then dismissed PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer for 4.Raj Bawa then bowled Connolly with a cross-seam delivery before taking the catch to dismiss Shedge off Shardul’s bowling.Despite the collapse, Punjab Kings finished strongly by scoring 53 runs in the final three overs.Azmatullah Omarzai scored 38 off 17 balls with two sixes and a four, while Vishnu Vinod and Xavier Bartlett added late runs.Vinod and Bartlett collected 22 runs from Corbin Bosch’s last over, helped by two dropped catches near the boundary, as PBKS crossed the 200-run mark for the eighth time this season.
