Pune: Molecules has expanded its global footprint by establishing a presence in Tokyo, aiming to accelerate global collaborative research programs involving academia, industry and technology partners across Japan, India and other key innovation hubs. The move marks a strategic milestone in the company’s efforts to build an interconnected global research and innovation ecosystem, it said in a statement.Led by Dr. Sreeraj Gopi, Molecules has been focusing on developing structurally validated delivery platforms, particularly liposomal and vesicular systems such as Metazome, to enhance bioavailability, stability and functional outcomes.The company said Japan’s advanced research infrastructure and precision-driven scientific ecosystem make it an ideal destination to scale next-generation delivery technologies. The expansion is expected to accelerate collaborative research across institutions, enable co-development of advanced delivery systems including liposomal and niosomal technologies, and strengthen scientific validation frameworks through advanced analytical capabilities.It will also support translational research aimed at converting scientific concepts into scalable, market-ready solutions, while fostering multidisciplinary knowledge exchange in areas such as nutraceuticals and functional foods.The company said the move reflects its broader approach of advancing innovation through global collaboration and integrating science with real-world applications.
