TNNLucknow: the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has launched the 2 & 3-Wheeler Electric Vehicle Service Technician Training Programme under its Skill Development for Employment of Rural Youth initiative. The inaugural programme was held at JP Model Public College, Para, Lucknow, with the technical implementation being carried out by the International Automobile Centre of Excellence.This 120-hour training programme will be conducted across six UP districts and will benefit 1,020 participants. The programme aims to equip rural youth with practical knowledge and technical skills in electric vehicle servicing, battery management, safety standards, and modern EV technologies. In addition to technical training, participants will receive guidance on entrepreneurship, business management, and self-employment. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be linked to employment opportunities in the EV sector and will also receive guidance on establishing their own enterprises under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana.The inaugural ceremony was graced by Nandini Ghose, GM, Nabard regional office, UP; Shivani Kapoor, AGM & District Development Manager; and Sumit Garg, assistant manager, Nabard.
