Lucknow: Following CM Yogi Adityanath’s announcement of 50% fare concession for NEET aspirants on UPSRTC and city buses run by the urban development department, transport minister Dayashankar Singh said the facility will be available to examinees on June 20 and June 21.UPSRTC managing director Prabhu N Singh on Wednesday directed all regional managers and assistant regional managers to ensure implementation. As per the directives, conductors will provide the discounted ticket only to candidates appearing in the NEET retest and must collect one photocopy of the admit card from each beneficiary.Conductors will issue a “child ticket” through the Electronic Ticket Issuing Machine (ETIM) after verifying the admit card. Details including roll number, name, travel route and ticket amount be recorded by the conductor. The photocopy of the admit card must be retained and preserved for future reference.In situations where an ETIM-issued concessional ticket cannot be generated, conductors may issue a manual concessional ticket from the blank ticket book after telephonic permission from the depot in charge or centre in charge. UPSRTC has ordered that no regional manager, service manager or assistant regional manager will go on leave during the period, and previously sanctioned leave will require the managing director’s approval.
