NEET UG 2026 answer key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the provisional answer key challenge window for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, allowing candidates to raise objections to responses they believe require review. The facility is available through the official NEET portal and will remain open until 11:50 PM on June 28.The answer key pertains to the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination conducted on June 21. Candidates who wish to contest any answer can do so by submitting documentary evidence from NCERT books or other recognised standard textbooks. The agency has also stated that challenges accepted after expert review will qualify for a refund of the prescribed processing fee.Challenge process and feeTo submit a challenge, candidates must log in to the official NEET website and enter the Question Paper Series Code printed on the cover page of their test booklet. They can then select the question or questions they wish to challenge, upload supporting documents and complete the payment before submitting the request.The challenge fee has been fixed at Rs 200 per question. According to the NTA, the amount will be refunded only if the challenge is accepted after review by subject experts. The agency has advised candidates to verify every detail carefully before making the payment, as the submission can be made only once and cannot be modified afterwards.Review to run alongside OMR evaluationThe NTA said the expert review of answer key challenges will be conducted simultaneously with the scanning of OMR answer sheets. The parallel process has been planned to facilitate declaration of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination results at the earliest possible stage after completion of the review.Candidates have been asked to rely only on the official NEET portal for answer key-related updates and to complete the challenge process within the notified deadline.Official support for candidatesThe agency has also shared contact details for candidates requiring assistance during the challenge process. Queries may be addressed through the designated helpline or the official email support channel.The provisional answer key challenge process forms the next stage in the examination cycle following the June 21 re-examination. Once all challenges are examined by the expert panel and OMR evaluation is completed, the agency is expected to prepare the final answer key, which will form the basis for the declaration of results.
