LUCKNOW: The Lucknow division of North East Railway has introduced a metre gauge (MG) AC tourist chair car service between Mailani and Bichhia on weekends to promote tourism in the Dudhwa region.According to the railway, Train 52260 will depart from Mailani Junction at 6. 05am every Saturday and Sunday and reach Bichhia at 10. 30am. The train will halt at Bhirakheri, Palia Kalan, Dudhwa, Belrayan, Tikunia, Khairtiya Dam Road (Halt) and Manjhra Purba stations.On the return journey, Train 52259 will leave Bichhia at 11. 45am on Saturdays and Sundays and arrive at Mailani Junction at 4. 10pm, stopping at the same stations en route.The train has one air conditioned tourist chair car with a seating capacity of 60 passengers. The fare for the Mailani to Bichhia journey is Rs 270. Tickets can be booked through passenger reservation system (PRS) counters and the IRCTC website.Railway officials said the service is aimed at providing tourists with a comfortable travel option while offering access to the forests and wildlife around Dudhwa National Park.
