Lucknow: Lucknow administration on Tuesday granted conditional permission for the three-day ‘Gau Pratishtha Janjagran Abhiyan’ being led by Swami Avimukteshwaranand. The drive will begin from March 11.JCP (law & order) Babloo Kumar and DCP (central) Vikrant Vir said that permission has been granted.Sources said the approval has been given with 26 conditions, and any violation could result in the immediate cancellation of the permission.One key condition stipulates that no speech or statement inciting sentiments against any religion, caste, community or language will be allowed. Organisers have been directed to ensure that no controversial or provocative remarks are made against any political or religious figure. The programme will be held at the Kanshi Ram Smriti Cultural Site near Bijli Pasi Kila Crossing in Aashiana.Police force from Aashiana, SGPGI and Krishna Nagar police stations have been placed on alert as a precaution. Heavy security deployment will be ensured at the venue throughout the event.Sources said the organisers have deposited Rs 4.5 lakh with the memorial committee as the prescribed fee for the three-day programme.Earlier, reports had suggested that permission for the March 11 event had not been granted. LDA officials had indicated that the organising body was required to submit no-objection certificates (NOCs) from multiple departments through the memorial committee. The documents were allegedly not submitted within the stipulated time, leading to uncertainty over the approval.
