JAMMU: An old mortar shell was recovered in a park near Sher-i-Kashmir Bridge on the outskirts of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. It was safely defused by the bomb disposal squad, officials said on Saturday.The shell was found by a youth who was out for a morning walk. He informed the police. “The police and the Army rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area,” the officials said. “Meanwhile, a bomb disposal squad was called upon which safely defused the shell,” they added.
