NEW DELHI: The Army on Saturday said contact had been established with terrorists in the Gambhir Muglan area of Rajouri during a joint intelligence-based operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF.In a post on X, the Army’s 16 Corps said the encounter began at around 11:30 am after security forces launched the operation in the area. Troops responded with what the Army described as “calibrated action” after coming under contact.A firefight later broke out between the security forces and the terrorists, following which a cordon was laid around the area to prevent any escape.
