Lucknow: More than 1,000 bhandaras were organised across the city on the first Bada Mangal. Around 470 bhandaras were registered with LMC. Organisers were told to segregate wet and dry waste at the source, using green and blue bins. Sanitation teams monitored sites throughout the day, while devotees were urged to avoid single-use plastic and use leaf plates and earthen cups. LMC urged residents planning bhandaras to register via helpline 1533 or the Lucknow One app.
