More than 34,000 candidates appeared for the UPGET-2026 entrance examination for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) against 18,500 seats. The exam was conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University across 75 centres in 20 districts on Tuesday. Attendance stood at 95.54%. Vice-chancellor Dr Amit Devgan said AI-enabled CCTV cameras and security arrangements ensured the smooth and fair conduct of the exam.
