Lucknow: On the occasion of World Environment Day on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in Lucknow and honoured students who won the logo design and painting competitions, as well as gram pradhans for facilitating the notification of wetlands in their areas.In the logo design competition, which saw participation from across the state, Mahi Raza, a Class VII student from Lalitpur, secured the first position.The CM handed her a cheque for ₹50,000. Meanwhile, Sumbul Fatima, a Class V student from Kannauj, received ₹25,000 as the second prize. She expressed her happiness on receiving the honour from the chief minister and thanked him.Shraddha Tripathi, a Class X student from Mirzapur, won the third prize in the same competition. She said she felt wonderful meeting the CM and interacting with him.In the painting competition, Ajay Kumar Dubey won the first prize of ₹25,000, Srishti Shukla secured the second prize of ₹15,000, and Sudhakar won the third prize of ₹10,000.Rajkishore Verma, a gram pradhan from Barabanki district, said he was happy to attend the event.
