JAMMU: A Pakistani drone was spotted over three villages in Ramgarh sector near international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district late on Friday, triggering a cordon and search operation in the area early on Saturday amid the possibility that weapons or narcotics had been airdropped again.On Thursday and Friday, security forces recovered over 3.5 kg of heroin worth more than Rs 20 crore that had been airdropped by Pakistani drones in border villages in R S Pura sector of Samba. Narcotics Control Bureau arrested two suspected recipients. “On Friday, the smugglers were taken to the spots where the drugs had been airdropped,” an official said.A similar search operation was launched on Tuesday, a day after a Pakistani drone was spotted hovering over the border village of Daboh in Samba.Last year, police recovered 500 grams of heroin from Chillyari village near the border in Samba on July 26.
