Lucknow: Oil marketing companies on Friday hiked the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.86 and Rs 3.01, respectively, in Uttar Pradesh.According to the latest revision, petrol price in Lucknow was increased from Rs 94.69 per litre to Rs 97.55 per litre. Diesel witnessed a sharp hike from Rs 87.81 to Rs 90.82 per litre.XP95 petrol rose by Rs 2.99, reaching Rs 106.13 per litre, while XG diesel increased by Rs 3.01, now priced at Rs 96.43 per litre.The revised rates have triggered concerns among daily commuters and transport operators, who are already grappling with rising operational costs.Officials said that fuel availability was stable across Uttar Pradesh. The state-level coordinator (SLC) of the OMCs office said that sufficient reserves were being maintained at depots, terminals and retail outlets.According to the latest data, Uttar Pradesh holds around 23.8 crore litres of petrol and 51.6 crore litres of diesel stock. This stock is estimated to provide cover of approximately 15 days for both petrol and diesel consumption.The SLC office emphasised that supply chains remain robust, with regular replenishment of fuel stocks from refineries ensuring uninterrupted availability.
