Lucknow: A thought provoking play ‘Kaanch Ke Khilone’ was staged on the first day of a three-day theatre festival at the International Buddhist Research Centre on Monday.Organised by the culture department, New Delhi and Akanksha Theatre Arts, the production was prepared during a 30-day theatre workshop. Adapted by Saurabh Srivastava from American playwright Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie” and directed by Achla Bose, the play explored disintegrating family relationships, youthful ambitions and generational conflict.Achla said the play symbolises fragile relationships and hopes that can be shattered by even the slightest blow of reality. The cast featured Divyajeet Gupta as Ananda, Ankur Saxena as Rohan, Muskan Soni as Minakshi and Abhishek Kumar Singh as Shubham.
