Lucknow: A theatrical production exploring the emotional and psychological depth of women characters from the epic Ramayana was portrayed in a play, ‘Main Tujh Mein’ at Ravindralaya auditorium on Friday.Staged by GJ Academy of Dramatic Arts, the play was directed by Alok Srivastava and written by dramatist Lalit Singh Pokhariya.Blending storytelling, music and dance, the production traced the journeys of Kaushalya, Kaikeyi, Sumitra, Shabari, Mandodari, Urmila and Sita.Departing from conventional devotional presentation, the play focused on the inner emotional world and psychological conflicts of the women characters, offering a fresh perspective on familiar episodes from the epic.“It presented a nuanced portrayal of women whose values, sacrifice and moral strength played a key role in shaping Ram as Maryada Purushottam”, said Srivastava.
