JAMMU: Army personnel detained a 14-year-old boy from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) who had allegedly crossed over the Line of Control (LoC) and entered Indian territory in J&K’s Poonch district on Tuesday evening.“Around 7pm, Javed Ali from Tetrinote in PoK, was detained near the LoC in Gulpur sector, Poonch,” an official said. Preliminary investigations indicated that he may have inadvertently strayed across the border.The teen was taken into custody for questioning to ascertain the circumstances under which he entered Indian territory, officials said. Sources said the Army had handed him over to Jullas police post in Poonch. He was likely to be repatriated after an investigation.
