Priyanka Chopra recently returned to Mumbai with her daughter Malti Marie after wrapping up a schedule of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film ‘Varanasi’ in Hyderabad. A day after sharing a glimpse of their arrival in the city, the actor was spotted at Mumbai’s iconic Siddhivinayak Temple, where she sought Lord Ganesha’s blessings.Paparazzi videos shared on Instagram captured Priyanka leaving the temple after offering prayers. Dressed in a pink ethnic outfit, the actor looked radiant and greeted the gathering outside with a smile. She also waved to fans who had assembled to catch a glimpse of her before getting into her car and leaving the premises. She was accompanied by her cousin Mannara Chopra.Priyanka had offered fans a peek into her journey to Mumbai just a day earlier. She shared a photograph of Malti Marie looking out of the aircraft window at the city skyline as they prepared to land. Sharing the adorable moment, she wrote, “Seeing Mumbai thru her eyes hits different.”On the work front, Priyanka is gearing up for the release of SS Rajamouli’s ambitious project ‘Varanasi’, which stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside her. The film is slated to release in theatres on April 7, 2027.While the filmmakers have kept the plot details largely under wraps, a reported synopsis has surfaced online, hinting at the scale and premise of the time-travel action adventure. The reported storyline suggests that Mahesh Babu plays Rudhra, an archaeologist and explorer who embarks on a mission connected to an ancient cosmic artefact.Priyanka is reportedly set to play Mandakini, a historian and skilled marksman who accompanies Rudhra on his quest. Their journey is said to span locations including Africa, Antarctica and Europe, while Prithviraj’s character Kumbha reportedly serves as the antagonist. However, the makers are yet to officially confirm these reported plot details.Beyond ‘Varanasi’, Priyanka has several international projects lined up. She will reportedly share the screen with Oscar winner Russell Crowe in the sci-fi action thriller ‘Bluefly’, which is being directed by Nimrod Antal.
