The eagerly awaited full trailer of Ramayana has run into an unexpected setback. Originally slated for release on July 24, 2026, the trailer was pulled just before its scheduled launch. While fans continue to wait for an official release, multiple clips believed to be from the unreleased promo have now surfaced online, sparking both excitement and disappointment.Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the epic stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in pivotal roles. Although the complete trailer has not yet been made available to the public, it has reportedly been showcased at select events, including a launch event in Delhi, an exclusive media screening in Mumbai, and the San Diego Comic-Con.Earlier this week, a short segment from the trailer found its way onto the internet. By Saturday, additional low-quality videos had begun circulating across social media, with fans discussing the film’s grand visuals, scale and background score despite the blurry footage. Many viewers were impressed by what they saw, even in its leaked form. One social media user wrote, “All 3 leaked clips look absolutely insane! Even in low quality, the grand scale, visuals, and background score give pure goosebumps. Nitesh Tiwari is crafting an absolute masterpiece!”At the same time, others questioned how footage from such a high-profile production managed to leak before its official debut. “It’s disappointing that a film as big as #Ramayana couldn’t protect its trailer from leaking before the official release. The makers should have had stronger security measures in place. Months of hard work deserve better than an online leak,” another post read.Several fans also called on the filmmakers to release the trailer without further delay, arguing that a significant portion of the surprise had already been spoiled now that several minutes of footage were circulating online. The postponement of the trailer launch came after the makers announced a major international distribution deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment, which will oversee the film’s release across global markets. As a result of the partnership, the trailer launch was deferred, though the team has yet to announce a revised release date. With leaked clips continuing to spread online, many fans are now wondering whether the makers will move up the official launch.Ramayana is being developed as a two-part cinematic adaptation. The first chapter is scheduled to hit theatres during Diwali 2026, while the second instalment is expected to arrive during the festive season in 2027.
