The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced recruitment for 12 Young Professional (YP) posts in various departments at its Central Office in Mumbai. The engagement is aimed at giving young professionals hands-on experience in the functioning of the central bank while allowing them to contribute to short- and medium-term policy assignments.The vacancies are spread across areas such as cyber security, policy analytics, climate change risk, sustainable finance, payment systems, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, financial markets, data analysis, and policy research. Each position has specific educational and experience requirements.Candidates applying for the posts must be Indian citizens aged between 21 and 30 years as on July 6, 2026. Depending on the role, applicants should possess postgraduate qualifications or professional degrees in disciplines including economics, finance, statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, environmental studies, public policy, and related fields.Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of Rs 1,50,000, subject to applicable tax deductions. The engagement will initially be for three years and may be extended by mutual agreement for a total period of up to five years based on performance and organisational requirements. The positions are contractual in nature and do not guarantee regular employment with the RBI.The selection process will involve preliminary screening and shortlisting, followed by document verification and an interview.
