Candidates who appeared for the NEET UG 2026 re-test on June 21 are still waiting for the provisional answer key. As of now, NTA has not issued any notification regarding the release date of the Re-NEET answer key. While there is no confirmation from NTA, previous years provide some indication of the usual timeline.The answer key is among the most-awaited documents after the examination as it helps candidates compare their responses with the official answers and estimate their likely scores before the final results are declared.NEET UG 2026, which was cancalled, was held on May 3 and the provisional answer key was released on May 6. In 2025, NEET UG was conducted on May 4 and the provisional answer key was released on June 3, 30 days later. In 2024, the examination was held on May 5 and the provisional answer key was published on May 29, a gap of 24 days. Based on these trends, candidates can expect the Re-NEET answer key to be released any time now.Once released, candidates will be able to download both the provisional answer key and their response sheets from the official NEET website. This will allow them to match their responses with the official answers and calculate their probable scores.The provisional answer key will also open the objection process. Candidates who believe any answer is incorrect will be able to challenge it online by paying the prescribed fee and submitting supporting documents.NTA will review all objections through subject experts. If any challenge is found to be valid, the answer key will be revised before the final version is published.Until then, candidates are advised to regularly check the official NEET portal for updates regarding the answer key release and objection window.
