Lucknow: With a career spanning over five decades, city-based photographer Anil Risal Singh will be honoured with Associate of Photographic Society of America award in the PSA photo festival in Las Vegas in Sept.Singh said his photography was shaped by persistence, family support and patience.Singh is the winner of several national and international honours, including Unesco Award, Kodak Excellence Award, Venice International Photography Award, National Award of Photography by ministry of information and broadcasting, SAARC Award and AIFACS award in New Delhi.He was part of 20 solo and group exhibitions with two shows in US and one in France.After PG, Singh joined UP State Archives, photographing old documents. “In 1976, I hosted my first exhibition,” he said.Singh dedicated his latest honour to his father. “Had my father not given me a camera when I was 12, I would not have achieved so much,” he said.
