Lucknow: Under the Sandhya Samvad initiative held recently in Shravasti, Rs 89,41,612 was credited to employees’ bank accounts as general provident fund payments, officials said.The programme was launched by Devipatan divisional commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal to provide quick redressal of public grievances through direct interaction between residents and the administration.A govt spokesperson said that during an earlier Sandhya Samvad, several retired employees complained about delays in the release of their GPF and other service-related dues. Following the complaints, Shravasti district magistrate Annapurna Garg coordinated with concerned departments and expedited the required formalities, leading to the transfer of pending amounts.The Sandhya Samvad programme began from Tendwa Mahanth Gram Panchayat in Shravasti district. Officials said grievances are heard on the spot, resolutions are initiated immediately, and eligible beneficiaries are assisted in receiving benefits under govt welfare schemes. The spokesperson said the initiative is strengthening public confidence in local administration.
