Lucknow: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has received a fresh investment push with three companies being allotted land for projects worth over Rs3,400 crore, officials said on Tuesday.The move is expected to generate more than 5,700 jobs and further strengthen the region’s emergence as a manufacturing hub.The land allotments, cleared on the recommendation of Invest UP, span sectors including farm machinery, construction equipment and food processing, key areas identified for industrial growth in the state.Escorts Kubota Ltd has been allotted 154 acres in sector 10, where it will set up a tractor and construction equipment manufacturing unit. The project, involving an investment of around Rs2,029 crore, is expected to create employment for nearly 4,000 people and boost both the agriculture and infrastructure sectors.In another major allocation, CNH Industrial India Pvt Ltd has been given 100 acres in sector 8D to establish a tractor manufacturing facility. The project will see an investment of about Rs1,219.81 crore and is likely to generate around 1,200 jobs. Officials said the unit will strengthen UP’s position as a key hub for agricultural machinery.Sun Organic Industries Pvt Ltd has been allotted 30,000 sqmt in sector 8D for a dry fruit processing and packaging unit. The project entails an investment of Rs225.16 crore and is expected to create 569 jobs, giving a fillip to the food processing sector and local value chains.Officials attributed the steady inflow of investments to industry-friendly policies, a streamlined single-window clearance system and improved infrastructure. The Yamuna expressway belt is rapidly developing into a preferred destination for large-scale industrial projects, they said.
