Salman Khan made a goodwill visit to the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) office in Mumbai on Friday night. During the visit, he inaugurated the SRA’s newly set up Data Collection and Verification Support Centre (IT Server Room). The actor also handed out house keys to beneficiaries, many of whom couldn’t stop smiling. Following the event, Salman shared a light, playful moment with reporters, requesting them not to bring up questions about ‘Maatrubhumi’.
Salman Khan dodges ‘Maatrubhumi’ questions with humour
Before engaging with reporters after the social event, Salman lightened the mood with his signature humour. Flashing a smile at the media, he remarked, “Ask me anything, not that one question. There is no point in asking about that.” He was clearly steering clear of questions about ‘Maatrubhumi’, a film that has recently made news over CBFC-related hurdles and a delayed release. His visit underlined the Maharashtra Government’s push to reinforce the slum rehabilitation mission through governance that is modern, transparent, and centred on the people.
Salman Khan’s SKF denies reports on ‘Maatrubhumi’
There have been several reports in recent months claiming that the film underwent changes and reshoots, along with reports that ‘Maatrubhumi’ faced hurdles with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which allegedly withheld the film’s clearance certificate for the time being. Salman Khan’s production house, SKF, has, however, denied these claims. The production house stated, “We request that media outlets and individuals refrain from circulating unverified information. Any official updates regarding the film will be shared by Salman Khan Films through its official channels only.”
Salman Khan’s upcoming action film with Nayanthara
Apart from this, Salman has teamed up with Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju for an action film, which will also feature Nayanthara in the lead role and is set for an Eid 2027 release.
