Lucknow: Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh congratulated residents of the constituency after the UP govt approved a major healthcare expansion project comprising a 1,010-bed state-of-the-art multispeciality emergency centre at the new campus of Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences.Expressing gratitude to chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Singh termed the project a “historic step” that would strengthen the healthcare infrastructure of UP and transform Sarojininagar into a leading healthcare hub.The proposed campus will come up at Sector-7, Gomtinagar extension along Shaheed Path.Singh said the expansion of the Lohia institute within Sarojininagar assembly constituency would benefit not only Lucknow residents but also patients from across UP.He said UP’s healthcare sector has witnessed rapid growth under the leadership of CM Yogi, adding that the govt’s focus extends beyond treatment facilities to strengthening emergency healthcare services and expanding modern medical education.Highlighting the healthcare ecosystem in the region, Singh said Sarojininagar is rapidly emerging as the “Health Capital” of UP. The area already houses institutions such as Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyan Singh Superspecialty Cancer Institute, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Medanta Hospital and Apollo Medics Superspeciality Hospital, along with several other superspeciality hospitals and medical colleges.
