NEW DELHI: SC Thursday slammed AIIMS’ acting director for filing an affidavit instead of an explanation in a matter where the court had ordered a DNA test that was not conducted in time.A bench of Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah and Justice R Mahadevan initially ordered contempt notice against the official but withdrew it after he appeared before the court. The matter was closed after the affidavit was amended.“We sought an explanation, but still an affidavit has been filed… Why so casual? We are shocked,” the bench said, adding, “Leave ego at home.”
