NEW DELHI: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor Friday moved the Delhi high court against publication of AI-generated deepfake videos that show him praising Pakistan and making statements on “politically sensitive” issues, and sought protection of his personality rights. After hearing Tharoor’s submissions , Justice Mini Pushkarna issued summons to X and Meta, as well as the Centre, and indicated she would pass an interim order in his favour. “I am a former external affairs minister. It matters to India’s standing as well… It is liable to be misused by foreign states,” Tharoor said.
