At least eight people, including four children, were injured in a shooting in Brooklyn’s Coney Island late on Friday during on Fourth of July, the New York Police Department (NYPD) said.Police responded to reports of gunfire at around 10:37 pm local time on the 2900 block of West 31st Street, according to an NYPD statement, quoted by ABC News.The victims included two men, aged 37 and 33, two women, aged 25 and 21, and four boys aged 14, 12, 7 and 6. Their identities have not been released.“All victims were transported by EMS to local area hospitals where seven people were listed in stable condition,” the NYPD said, adding, “The 21-year-old woman is listed in critical condition.”Investigators recovered a firearm from the scene but had not made any arrests as of Saturday night. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
