Lucknow University vice-chancellor JP Saini on Monday announced that the cyber and Tagore libraries will now remain open from 7 am to 8 pm daily, giving students more time for study and research. The libraries will also remain open on holidays from 10 am to 2 pm, except on major festivals. The decision was taken after a dialogue following protest by student groups over hike in fees of entrance exam and self-finance courses.
