NEW DELHI: C Joseph Vijay is once again making headlines after recently becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. This time, the actor-turned-politician received a special gift — a cricket bat signed by Indian cricket star Virat Kohli. Photos of Vijay proudly holding the bat at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat quickly went viral on social media.The bat was presented by officials from MRF during a meeting with Vijay. Senior company leaders, including Chairman KM Mammen, Vice Chairman Arun Mammen and Managing Director Rahul Mammen, were part of the delegation. Reports said the meeting focused on MRF’s business activities and operations in Tamil Nadu.In the viral pictures, Vijay appeared in a black suit with a white open-collar shirt while also wearing a traditional veshti with gold zari borders over his shoulder. Fans widely shared the photos online, praising his stylish look and celebrating the symbolic connection with Kohli.This comes just days after filmmaker Venkat Prabhu gifted Vijay a framed “TN 07 CM 2026” number plate from the film GOAT, which many fans believed had predicted his rise to power.Vijay officially took oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister on May 10, 2026, after his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, emerged as the single-largest party in the Assembly elections with 108 seats.Meanwhile, Vijay is also preparing for the release of his film Jana Nayagan.
