Lucknow: An incident of burglary was reported from a locked house in the Indira Nagar Police station area on Saturday, when unidentified burglars entered the premises and stole cash approximately Rs 1 lakh along with jewellery and other valuable items.According to police, the owner, Shipra Singh, resident of house no 9 in Bal Vihar Colony, Faridi Nagar, was away for a family function when the theft took place. She had left the premises on Feb 26, and was informed about the burglary by a friend on Mar 6.She arrived at her residence the same day, and alerted the police through 112 helpline number. A team from Indira Nagar Police Station reached the spot and inspected the house.The complainant also stated that the burglars took away the digital video recorder (DVR) of the house’s CCTV camera system, possibly to destroy evidence of the crime.ACP, Ghazipur, Anindya Vikram Singh, said that based on the written complaint, a case was registered against unidentified persons and further legal action was initiated.
