Lucknow: Terming SGPGI’s feat of cardiac transplant a “milestone moment”, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Saturday said that the historic achievement speaks for the state’s rapidly advancing healthcare system.He lauded the institute for maintaining a progressive work culture and appreciated the doctors for their dedication. Expressing confidence that the institute would soon strengthen its standing at both national and international levels, he said that SGPGI’s reputation was growing by the day.“Patients from Bihar, Nepal and neighbouring regions rely on SGPGI’s services, reflecting the quality of care offered. Ensuring access to high-quality healthcare for every citizen remains the top priority for the state govt,” Pathak said.He said hospital bed capacity, particularly in critical care and ICUs, was being steadily expanded, while emergency and trauma services showed notable improvement.Emphasising patient care, Pathak urged doctors to remain compassionate and ensure no patient is turned away without primary treatment.He added that proposals related to quality care and artificial intelligence projects at the institute were approved and were being implemented to strengthen healthcare delivery.
