NEW DELHI: In a bid to shut out any exam-day impersonators, the National Medical Commission has prohibited medical students from taking leave on May 2 and 3. The move, timed right before the NEET-UG 2026, is aimed at tightening security and preventing any ‘Munna Bhai’-style mischief. In a public notice issued on Thursday, NMC asked institutions to remain vigilant and sensitise students against any involvement in activities that could compromise the conduct of the exam. The move follows instructions from the higher education department under the education ministry, which flagged past instances where medical students were found involved in activities that could undermine the sanctity of the examination process.
