Lucknow: UP BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary on Friday rolled out the electoral roadmap before the newly appointed state functionaries, terming the state Assembly elections as the organisation’s top priority and asking the office-bearers to work with dedication to form a BJP govt in UP for the third consecutive term.Addressing the introductory meeting of the newly appointed office-bearers at the party state office, Chaudhary asserted that it was essential for every office-bearer to internalise the party’s principles and values in their behaviour, conduct and work style to strengthen trust and communication with the people. He said that the organisation would extensively showcase the development journey — spanning over 12 years of the central govt and more than nine years of the Uttar Pradesh govt — to the public, highlighting achievements in good governance, welfare of the poor, women’s empowerment, law and order, infrastructure and public-interest initiatives. He affirmed that carrying this development journey forward was a collective responsibility, and every organisational worker would play a pivotal role in achieving this goal.Extending his best wishes to newly appointed office-bearers, Chaudhary said, “BJP is a cadre-based organisation where every worker is its greatest asset. I would stand firmly with you in every circumstance.”He emphasised that the organisation’s strength was the BJP’s greatest power, and the team would take the party’s ideology, policies, achievements of the central and state govts, and public welfare schemes down to the booth level. He noted that special attention was paid to regional, social and gender balance during the formation of the new team.He said responsibilities had been assigned to office-bearers from various regions: 16 from Awadh, 8 from Kanpur, 13 from Kashi, 8 from Gorakhpur, 10 from West UP and 9 from Braj. “Efforts were also made to ensure adequate representation for women, enabling the organisation to effectively represent every section of society,” he said.Chaudhary said that ample opportunities had been provided to the youth within the organisation, allowing them to learn from the experience of senior functionaries while propelling the organisation to new heights through their energy, innovation and efficiency.“Every worker in the BJP is a member of the family, and a responsibility within the organisation is not merely a position, but a medium to serve the nation and society,” Chaudhary said, asserting that he expected nothing less than complete loyalty, discipline and dedication to the party.“Every office-bearer must rise above personal preferences and accord highest priority to the party’s ideology, organisational traditions and working style,” he said. The UP BJP chief said that all workers were fortunate to be serving the organisation at a time when the BJP formed the central govt for a third consecutive term under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and when BJP or BJP-supported govts are serving in 22 states.“Public trust is the result of sustained hard work, service and good governance,” he said.State general secretary (organisation) Dharmpal Singh said that this introductory meeting of newly appointed state office-bearers was not merely a formality but the launch of a victory campaign for the Assembly elections.“The Assembly election is not merely a political contest but a resolve to advance development, good governance and public trust in Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
