Lucknow: A high-level delegation from UP govt, led by Deputy CM Keshav Maurya and IT and Electronics minister Sunil Kumar Sharma, met leading German-Israeli company Quantum Systems GmbH officials in Germany’s Nuremberg on Tuesday.The company, which specialises in unmanned and drone-based technologies, has a presence in India for more than a decade and made a name for itself for advanced aerial surveillance, defence-grade reconnaissance, and high-altitude unmanned platforms with operational ranges up to 160 km. Germany and Spain use the company’s technology for their armed forces. Maurya said UP has emerged as a key driver of India’s rapidly growing economy, while inviting Quantum Systems to establish a drone manufacturing and research and development centre in the state. The discussions ranged from long-term collaboration in manufacturing, research and development, skill development, to technology transfer.
