Lucknow: The state govt reported a steady increase in exports of products from the dairy and animal husbandry sectors over the past 1.5 years. Data provided by govt shows that exports of products falling under the category of ‘dairy products, eggs, natural honey, and edible products’ were Rs 444.10 crore between April 2023 and Nov 2024, which increased to Rs 489.24 crore between April 2024 and Nov 2025, a growth of 10.16%.An official from the department of animal husbandry said that there was an improvement in the quality of milk, ghee, paneer, butter and milk powder, honey and eggs in addition to the expansion of processing facilities, which strengthened the state’s global competitiveness. This was further assisted by better packaging, quality control, and supply chain management. The official said that several initiatives were undertaken in the state to promote animal husbandry and the dairy sector.
