Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday addressed a roadshow in the Yamanashi Prefecture and highlighted his govt’s development policies, growing infrastructure and proactive approach to invite investors to the state.On the last day of his 4-day tour to Singapore and Japan, Yogi spoke about his govt’s push for green hydrogen technology and the MoU signed with the Yamanashi Prefecture. “The technology would be implemented in UP’s industry, public transport and energy sectors. It would also help students from higher technical institutions of UP receive training in Japan,” he said. Recounting the highlights of his two-day Japan visit, he said the UP delegation participated in several meetings with govt representatives, industry experts and thanked the Yamanashi administration for taking proactive steps to engage with UP over the expansion of investment. “Robotics is a major technology in the future. The UP govt made provisions in the state’s budget to establish a Centre of Excellence for Robotics. I am confident that cooperation between UP and Yamanashi will take India-Japan relations to new heights and play an important role in achieving energy self-reliance and making technology accessible to the common people,” he said. Elaborating on UP’s growth as an investment hub in India, Yogi said: “UP has India’s most fertile land, abundant water resources, vast human capital and rich spiritual and cultural heritage. Over the past 9 years, the state has succeeded in tripling its per capita income and economy and was currently among India’s fastest growing economies.” He said his visit to Japan was part of the initiatives being taken to attract investment, facilitate industries, adopt new technologies and expand global partnerships. The CM expressed gratitude to the governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, Kotaro Nagasaki, and his team, adding that the Japanese govt and Yamanashi provided the Indian delegation with a valuable opportunity to closely understand their key sectors and engage directly with industry leaders. Yogi added that Nagasaki visited UP in Dec 2024, and since then, there has been continuous dialogue, follow-ups and exchanges of delegations between the two govts to further strengthen the cooperation.
