SRINAGAR: J&K police on Wednesday conducted rapid urine drug tests on drivers plying on the national highway in Kulgam district, organised an anti-drug rally in Pulwama district’s Awantipora, and held a shikara rally on Manasbal Lake in Ganderbal as part of the 100-day “Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan”.In Kupwara district’s Handwara, police conducted interactive sessions for students, focusing on the physical, psychological and social consequences of drug abuse. Several awareness programmes were held in Baramulla.Police also destroyed “illicit poppy” crops in Sopore, Anantnag, and Baramulla districts, and filed several cases under NDPS Act.
