Lucknow: What was meant to be joyous wedding celebrations has turned into an unspeakable tragedy for a migrant family that lost two kids in the bus accident on the Purvanchal Expressway near Gosaiganj area of Lucknow on Monday evening.Sulekha Devi, a daily wage labourer in her mid-30s, was returning from Kurukshetra with her three children to attend her niece’s wedding in Bihar’s Araria district. The wedding, scheduled for the next day, now stands cancelled. “She waited an entire year to come home for this (wedding). We all gathered for happiness… but everything is over now. Her daughter and son died on the spot. Instead of welcoming guests, we are preparing for the last rites,” said a relative, Aniket Kumar.TNN
