PUNE: Wellington College International (WCI) Pune witnessed a vibrant display of culture, inclusivity, and community spirit as the school hosted its inaugural Summer Unity Party on campus. The event, organised jointly by WCI Pune and its parent association, Friends of Wellington (FoW), brought together pupils, parents, and staff members in a colourful celebration of diversity and global mindedness.Reflecting the institution’s international ethos, all 24 nationalities represented within the WCI Pune community actively participated in the celebration. The campus came alive with national parades, traditional attire, music, cuisine, and cultural showcases that highlighted the rich heritage of each participating country. The event served as a platform for families and students to celebrate their identities while fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness.One of the key attractions of the Summer Unity Party was the national parade, where participants proudly carried their country flags and dressed in traditional outfits. The parade symbolised the spirit of unity, inclusivity, and mutual respect that defines the school community. Visitors also enjoyed a range of dance performances, interactive games, and international food experiences, creating a festive atmosphere across the campus.The celebration further underscored the strong collaboration between the school and Friends of Wellington (FoW), whose dedicated planning and enthusiastic participation contributed significantly to the event’s success. Through the Summer Unity Party, WCI Pune reinforced its core values of respect, responsibility, kindness, courage, and integrity while strengthening cultural understanding and community engagement among students and families.
