The toss for the fifth and final T20I between India and England at the Rose Bowl in Southampton was delayed after the Indian team got caught in traffic while travelling to the stadium.Originally scheduled to take place before the 7:00 PM IST start, the pre-match proceedings had to be pushed back as India’s arrival at the venue was delayed. Live visuals later showed the team reaching the stadium, allowing preparations to resume. As a result, the toss was rescheduled for 7:15 PM IST, with the start of play pushed back to 7:30 PM IST, provided there were no further delays. The delay came ahead of a crucial contest for Shreyas Iyer’s side, who are looking to avoid a series whitewash after England sealed an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series, with the opening game ending without a result.England, meanwhile, will be aiming to complete a dominant 4-0 series win and potentially move to the top of the ICC men’s T20I rankings with another victory.Despite the brief disruption caused by traffic, officials expect the full match to be played, with only a 30-minute delay to the scheduled proceedings.
