UP Tops MY Bharat RegistrationsLucknow: Uttar Pradesh was recognised as the best-performing state for recording the highest number of MY Bharat registrations at the conclusion of the fourth and final Regional Chintan Shivir of the department of youth affairs, where Union minister of state for youth affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse urged youth officers to become catalysts of nation-building by inspiring greater participation among people.The two-day Chintan Shivir, held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan under the theme ‘Viksit Yuva Banayega Viksit Bharat’, concluded with a roadmap to strengthen youth-centric governance and grassroots implementation of flagship programmes.The second day, themed “Samadhaan Se Sankalp,” focused on translating discussions into actionable strategies.Addressing officers from across the country, Khadse said field functionaries had a crucial role in shaping India’s future because they understand grassroots challenges and were best placed to devise practical solutions.“This is not merely a duty; it is a responsibility. Along with building careers, our youth must also think about taking the country forward. They will write India’s future, and you have the opportunity to become a hero for the youth,” she said.The minister appreciated the field-level implementation of flagship initiatives, including MY Bharat, the Experiential Learning Programme (ELP), the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) and Fit India, saying they reflected the dedication and commitment of officers working on the ground.Joint secretary, department of youth affairs, Shiv Ratan, said the growing interest of various ministries in partnering with MY Bharat highlighted its emergence as a key platform for youth engagement.MY Bharat CEO Dr Priyanka Shukla called for innovative approaches to youth engagement and stressed the importance of documenting and replicating successful practices from across states.Technical sessions during the concluding day covered PMIS and Fit India, while working groups presented recommendations on Nasha Mukt Bharat, gender sensitisation, youth leadership, volunteerism, experiential learning, community mobilisation, and strengthening the institutional framework of MY Bharat.
