LUCKNOW: At least 12 people were killed in Uttar Pradesh last night due to severe weather, the Relief Commissioner said. Fatalities were reported from Pratapgarh (1), Kaushambi (3), Shahjahanpur (1), Fatehpur (1) and Hamirpur (6), where a bridge collapsed amid the storm. Authorities said they are currently assessing the extent of damage caused by the extreme weather conditions across the affected districts. Emergency response teams have been deployed in the impacted areas to carry out relief and rescue operations.
