HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old girl from Ethiopia, who was travelling to Hyderabad for cancer treatment, died on board an Ethiopian Airlines flight, police said on Saturday.The girl had been undergoing treatment for cancer for the last three years. She died while the aircraft was in transit.After the aircraft landed at 1 am on Saturday, she was rushed to a health facility at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.Doctors declared her dead, confirming she had died during the flight, police said.Earlier this week, a 51-year-old Indian man from Kerala, Yousafe Kunhammu, died after suffering a medical emergency aboard a flight from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru before take-off.Yousafe was returning to India alone after visiting relatives in Abu Dhabi on a visit visa. Airline sources said he experienced breathing difficulties shortly before departure. Cabin crew immediately sought medical assistance, and paramedics rushed to the aircraft to attend to him. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.(With agency inputs)
