An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 struck Indonesia’s Flores region early Saturday, according to United States Geological Survey (USGS).The quake occurred at 3:28 am IST at a depth of 49 km, with its epicentre located at 8.557°S latitude and 121.181°E longitude. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) initially recorded the earthquake at magnitude 6.9 before revising it to 7.6.The earthquake struck offshore in the Flores region.This is a developing story.
